My jatropa tree has rust and sticky white stuff attached to the leaves and branches. Also, the blooms and leaves are shriveled. What can I do to save this tree?

Jatropha is occasionally infested with mealybugs. Heavy infestation can cause defoliation and death of leaves and flowers. Other pests such as spider mites and powdery mildew also could be involved. You can make an appointment to have one of our arborists come inspect your tree.
