We have three big Blue Spruce trees in our front yard. All of a sudden, the branches have started to turn brown and are very brittle. What is going on?
Without seeing the trees, it will be difficult to ascertain what the problem(s) are that are causing the issue. The following could be contributing factors: needlecast from previous infection; die back from cytospora canker; die back or thinning from spruce bud scale or gall adeldgids; die back from girdling roots, buried root collar, or other environmental factors.
