Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk


 The Accounts Receivable position is an important role within the Accounting department. The position will interact with all levels and areas within the company and will be responsible for ensuring customer invoices and payments are handle in a timely and accurate manner.

  •  Enter, scan and post daily payment transactions to customer accounts

o   Process daily incoming mail and payments made by check

o   Scan check payments for electronic processing and deposit

o   Apply payment details to proper customer and G/L accounts

  • Receive, validate and apply daily credit card postings
  • Pull, review and verify daily bank posting activity
  • Support the receivables activity for all field offices

o   Process and post credit card payments made in the field office

o   Review and post daily Canadian deposits

o   Address any field office questions concerning customer payments

  • Monitor and/or update daily receivable reports
  • Assist in the monthly closing of cash in the U.S. and Canada
  • Generate and provide all required files for internal and/or external reviews
  • Resolve payment discrepancies, and work with Customer Service to initiate and complete all customer refunds
  • Analyze various daily payment reports and listings in order to clear unapplied amounts
  • Cross train to act as a back-up to the company’s daily cash reporting process
  • Receive and handle special requests as needed


Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree

The successful candidate will: be a reliable self-starter; be able to work independently; have a strong work ethic; be organized; have an excellent attention to detail; the ability to meet deadlines; and, have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Prior experience in the accounts receivable area and with RP Solutions, as well as a familiarity of general accounting procedures are all pluses.
