Mahsa Khorasani is currently employed as a Plant Disease and Insect Diagnostician at the Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories and Arboretum in Charlotte, NC. Mahsa is passionate about environmental science, plant pathology, and molecular biology, and applies traditional microscopic methods and modern molecular biology techniques to diagnose plant diseases and pests. Mahsa is involved in different projects, such as: neonectria canker on concolor fir in NE, the poplar microbiome, nitrogen-fixing bacteria in poplar, root rot pathogen Cylindrocarpon in Douglas-fir nursery, investigation of mycorrhizal fungi in rare plant Hackelia, and DsRNA viruses in fungi.
