Bacterial Canker
Bacterial canker attacks many species of Cherry and Pear. The disease is caused by the bacteria Pseudomonas syringae. The disease usually occurs as enlarging lesions or cankers on trunks and scaffolds of young, vigorous trees, especially sweet cherry.
