News and Events

  • Aphids and scale insects

Aphids and scale are tiny, sap-sucking insects that can infest virtually any tree or shrub species causing damage to foliage and tree health issues. These pests are relatively easy to control if infestations are identified early and treatments timed appropriately. Based on an assessment of your trees even before leaves appear we can provide recommendations to prevent damage.

  • Local Increase in Ticks and Lyme Disease

Given the long winter, deer will be foraging extensively this spring, bringing with them ticks that carry Lyme disease and other illnesses. The first step in effectively managing ticks is assessing the landscape for common habitats like wooded areas, leaf litter, and ornamental beds. Based on the assessment, effective tick treatments can be applied to target at-risk areas.
